Using its fine chemical technology, Kuraray has developed a pharmaceutical intermediate business including the manufacturing of intermediates for anti-viral agents, hypotensive drugs, and antibiotics. Kuraray has also commercialized pharmaceuticals such as anti-inflammatory agents and a specialty pharmaceutical for a polymer-modified anti-cancer agent.
